Miss August 1978 was Miss Vicki Witt, a cute brunette who first posed in Playboy's 1977 "Girls of the Big Ten." A year later she was Miss August!

She had plans to work as a singer or actress. Instead she ended up behind the camera, working in Hollywood on Star Wars and the first two Star Trek movies.

Margaret Scott/Marilyn Waltz - Multiple time Playmate

Marilyn Waltz is a classic pinup who happened to have been Playboy Playmate three times! As Margaret Scott, she was the second Playmate. She turned out to be extremely popular, getting a huge amount of fan mail!

Two months later, she posed again and became the April 1954 Playboy Playmate. She became Playmate for the third time exactly a year later in April 1955.

Her shoots were republished several times over the next years, and she apparently posed for other publications but only the Playboy pictures seem to be common.

She later became a successful real estate agent, moving to Oregon where she died in 1997.

The incrediby sexy Lillian Parker

Lillian Parker was a stripper from the 1960s. She starred in a large number of stag films where she danced around naked, and in a couple of simulated (or maybe real?) sex scenes.

She was a prolific model, but very little is known about her!

She certainly has a certain charm about her!

Gay Collier was Playboy's Playmate for July 1965. She was a gorgeous, "Girl Next Door' red head who wanted to be a ballet dancer. She was one of Penthouses first red heads to be Centerfold. She was also among the first models to wear stockings in her photos in Penthouse.

She ended up being Penthouse Pet of the Year in 1977, and was in two B-Movies, Starship Invasions with Christopher Lee and Robert Vaughan. And horror movie "Grizzly" where she is mauled by a Grizzly Bear.

English glamour model Joanne Latham is most famous initiating the first major fight between Penthouse and Playboy to have her pose nude for them. Penthouse finally won, paying her £70,000 in 1979 to pose for their tenth anniversary issue. That issue broke record sales and still stands today.

Playboy Playmate - Margie Harrison

Margie Harrison didn't know she was a Playmate until decades after her photos had been published!! In the early days, Playboy Magazine purchased photoshoots from the John Baumgarth Calendar Company.

So models didn't know where their photos might end up. Amazingly, Margie was a Playmate twice. Once in January 1954 - making her the first "official" Playmate, and again in June 1954, making her the fifth Playmate.

She seemed to be a pretty prolific model in those days! She posed for calendar shoots, Sunbathing Magazine, Playing cards, and Nudist Magazines.
